Prostate Cancer in the U.S.A: 2026 Projected Cases

On 17 January 2026, ZERO posted on their Facebook page a call to action (see below). We share their sentiment, but CloserToLean is a Canadian company, so we cannot join their asking the U.S. Congress to take actions (e.g., funding prostate cancer research). We support the concept globally that all men from age 45 (if of African descent) or age 50 (whites) should aspire for early detection through screening tests.

In Canada, “PSA tests for early detection” are generally not paid for by our taxpayer funded “universal health care,” so we individually pay out of our own pockets, but once PC is detected, treatments and follow up tests are paid for by the government.

The American Cancer Society just released the 2026 numbers, and they are a wake-up call: The numbers are going up. Progress has stalled because screening is down, and advanced diagnoses are stealing the gains we’ve made in research. Congress must act now to prioritize early detection and research.

Tell Congress that these numbers are unacceptable and that we demand action now: https://zerocancer.quorum.us/campaign/152957/
